Who am I?

Currently I lead a weekly singing group and co-lead another group on a monthly basis in Warwick and Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, UK

I am a member of the Natural Voice Network and follow their philosophy and guidelines of teaching by ear, and creating a ‘welcome all voices approach’

My groups

Morning Chorus is a weekly community singing group for all women. We meet on a Monday morning in Leamington Spa

Heart of England Companion Voices is a dedicated circle of people committed to learning to sing in a small group. We visit people nearing the end of life, in hospices, at home, in a care home or hospital. We generally meet on the second Thursday of the month in Warwick

I can also offer one-off community singing workshops locally or further afield.

My experience and skill set has come from professional development courses led by the Natural Voice Network, peer appraisal and teaching at lots of weekend workshops, choir festivals and week-long community singing camps. I also had a musical background growing up and learned various instruments and sang.

I started my first group in 2015, Morning Chorus. It is still going strong, with lots of original members attending regularly. And then in 2019 I started collaborating with a good friend, Felicity Rock, to form Heart of England Companion Voices.

Prior to this, I worked as a graduate Horticulturist in Organic Horticulture. I am also a qualified Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist.

I currently work part time as a Teaching Assistant at an SEN school.

My long term plan is to connect all these various strands of life experience and skills and create new opportunities!
